WTF IS A “WOLF HOUSE” ANYWAY?
It was a dark and stormy night. I had just installed a hard cover on the bed of my 2019 Ford Ranger. And then? Then I couldn’t see my hand in front of my face. So, I ordered some lights.
But where to plug them in? I looked up the OEM option for in-bed power, and found out that you have to cut into the bed to install it. I just had my bed lined, and was not about to put any holes anywhere. I looked and learned that the factory installs a wiring harness just behind the bed. I located a usable factory opening in the bed.
Then I thought. And I prototyped. And I tested. And I came up with a simple to install, easy to use, tough as nails in-bed power connector.
I headed out west to stress-test my invention in real-world off-roading and truck camping. Working flawlessly, I decided to share my creation with the world (that’s you).
That’s how it began. WHOR’s first product.
Every adapter and assembly I sell is made by the one-and-only me. By hand. Right here in my home in central Ohio.
Who am I?
My name is Ethan. By day I’m a mild-mannered IT professional. (Well, an IT professional, at least.) By night I’m an entrepreneur, adventurer, and maker.
Why WHOR?
Wolf Haus is a combination of my interests and heritage. I like wolves, and I like to honor my family’s German heritage. I make stuff for trucks, camping, hiking — things that are based on going off the road. It’s as simple as that. Plus it sounds cool.
HEY LOOK, IT’S ME
I am a human being. I can do CAPTCHAs and everything. Trust me.
I’m not some faceless corporation, either (see above for proof I have a face). And I’m not just some dude drop-shipping stuff from Chinese bulk sellers.
So, What am I?
Hi, I’m Ethan. I’m a lover of fine coffee, an off-road enthusiast, and a bit of an inventor and entrepreneur. I drive a 2019 Ford Ranger, and try to venture out into nature out west at least once a year. My off-roading and camping adventures provide the inspiration for creating and sourcing outdoor lifestyle products.
